Reimagining Wellness: Inside EmbodyHer’s Transformative May 2025 Event

This past May, EmbodyHer once again delivered on its mission to disrupt traditional healthcare spaces and create something more human, more holistic, and more healing.

Co-hosted by Dr. C and Ektha Aggarwal, founder of Shakti Therapy & Healing Services, the annual EmbodyHer wellness event returned with even more energy, intention, and connection than ever before. Frustrated with the rigid and impersonal structures of the current healthcare model, these two trailblazers have made it their mission to cultivate a new kind of wellness experience—one that centers real conversations, community, and accessibility to integrative care.

A Full-Day Immersion in Holistic Health

The 2025 event was a vibrant, all-day gathering that brought together doctors, therapists, nurses, artists, and healers in one welcoming, open space. From the moment attendees arrived, the energy was palpable—this was not your typical health fair.

The space was designed to feel less clinical and more communal. Health and wellness vendors lined the venue, offering everything from NAD+ shots (for that cellular-level energy boost) to alcohol-free cocktails that proved you don’t need alcohol to vibe and connect. Whether you came seeking physical rejuvenation or emotional nourishment, there was something for everyone.

Real Talk: Health, Healing & Honest Conversations

One of the highlights of the day was the panel discussion, where leading voices in medicine, mental health, wellness, and business came together to unpack the realities of today’s wellness landscape. These were not surface-level talks—they were deeply personal, vulnerable, and inspiring.

Some of the standout speakers included:

  • Lori Leib, founder of Bodyography, who shared her mission in “Beauty That Honors Your Skin (and the Planet)”. She spoke powerfully about building a clean, conscious makeup brand that empowers women to feel good about themselves while doing good for the earth.

  • Radha Mehta, artist and mental health advocate, moved the room with her talk, “Owning Your Story to Reclaim Your Power.” She spoke candidly about her postpartum and infertility journey, and how storytelling became a bridge to healing, self-worth, and empowerment.

  • Ektha Aggarwal, in her talk “Sisterhood Through the Seasons,” explored how we don’t choose the cultural messages we grow up with—but we can choose how we move forward. She emphasized the importance of intergenerational healing and sisterhood as a way to reclaim agency.

  • Adeela Hussein Johnson, CEO of Beis, delivered a powerful keynote titled “Know Your Audience, Adapt Authentically.” Challenging the oversimplified advice of "just be yourself," she unpacked how adaptability—in language, posture, and communication—is key to building genuine connection and leadership.

And these were just a few among many dynamic speakers who brought a rich tapestry of perspectives—from medicine and entrepreneurship to art and activism.

Healing Through Community

What truly set this event apart was the abundance of networking time—not the kind filled with business cards and stiff conversations, but real, heart-centered connection. It was a space where people felt safe to share stories, ask questions, and support each other in their journeys toward wellness.

Attendees walked away with more than just information—they left with new relationships, fresh insights, and a renewed sense of what health can look and feel like when care is centered around the whole person.

Why EmbodyHer Matters

EmbodyHer isn’t just a wellness event. It’s a movement. A declaration that healing is not a luxury, nor should it be gatekept behind insurance codes or rushed appointments. It’s a reminder that care should be culturally rooted, community-led, and radically accessible.

As Dr. C and Ektha continue to lead this movement, one thing is clear: the future of wellness is collaborative, inclusive, and deeply embodied.

If you missed this year’s gathering, don’t worry. EmbodyHer is just getting started. Stay tuned for future events, pop-ups, and resources that are redefining what it means to heal—together.
